CARBINE SIGNED COLT, no visible serial number,coarsely the lock dated 1864 and repurposed from a Colt musket, the barrel shortened to 12 1/2in and coarsely threaded possibly for a line launcher attachment, flip open Snider patent breech, walnut full-stock with American iron furniture and a single iron barrel-band, iron surfaces cleaned and pitted
